2022 Cabin Schedule

The covid-19 pandemic is still on and we still need to respect everyone's space.

For the long Holiday weekends, we need to know who plans to be at the cabin so the rest of us can assess the risk and make informed decisions.

The trailer is no longer available. It is gone!!.

As usual, all requests to use the cabin go through Doug(the owners will then decide to grant or decline the request, depending on availability and circumstances )

All the recreational equipment is to be shared by everyone. IE. canoes, paddles, life jackets, etc
Please ask the owner before using a snowmobile/ ATV, etc. Remember if you break it, you must let the owner know.

Important Rules!

  1. Play safe …It's a long way to a hospital. Cell phones may not work and 911 may not be able to find you here. (our 911 # is 1177 Black River Rd, East)
  2. Wear life jackets when on the water … 4 people have drowned near here in the last 10 years.
  3. Don't wander off by yourself because there are no “Search / Rescue” efforts until first light.
  4. Tend your campfires carefully and no fireworks in dry conditions! There is a better than good chance of a forest fire.
  5. Take your recycle/garbage home.. feeding the bears is not recommended.
  6. Leave the wood box full, the next visitor will thank you.
  7. Don't leave mousetraps set when you leave.... It can be a stinky mess by the time someone finds it.
  8. If things break, either fix it /replace it or tell someone about it so we can fix it.

When leaving please turn off the following ...

  1. the water pump on the 12vdc push button panel,
  2. the cabin inverter,
  3. the propane tank in the shed
and lock doors, windows and the gate.
In general, leave the Cabin as good or better than you found it.
    Thank you,
    the Brothers

He said the tree was too tall!

Despite great weather, good equipment and hard workers, we didn't get everything done before freeze up.

Probably should make it 4/5  days next year and coast a little.

    March 10th - 12th 2022

    Cabin Trip
Doug/ Warren/Barry - We had excellent snow conditions .A  couple of inches on the frozen lakes, no slush. Made a run back to Robinson Lake for lunch.

The Polaris quit on the way back from Victoria Falls ...Gas running out of both carbs ,probably floats stuck.   Turned it over, gave it a few shakes and it started!!! After hitting a few trail bumps it ran fine.

I found time to fix the ignitors on the stove ... found 3 bad solder joints on the ignitor board.

Also found out that I could remove the board with only 3 screws, didn't need to take out the other 30..Ha,ha,ha!
